Self Portrait and Shape Characters

In the absence of a Wacom pen & tablet, I decided to take a more fine-artsy approach to my self portrait. I tried to use basic color schemes with chalk pastel. It ended up looking like so:

I have never tried to create characters using simple shapes. Some of these I'm proud of, and others turned out like they were drawn by a guy who rarely draws characters with cartoonish features.
